Cycling, food and a space for conversation

A cycling centered retreat for a small group of gay men. Safe, held and non-sexualized.

About this retreat

Each day we have cycling activities, a professional cook who prepares three meals a day that meet our nutritional needs, as well as dedicated times for each of us to speak about something we've never had a place for, or someone that actually listens.

A place to be safe, active and to support each other.

      A space to be heard

Most of us don't have many spaces where we can speak freely. Not about the things that actually matter. Not about what we're carrying. Not about what we're proud of, either.

Time for this is set aside for each of us during the week. To share something real, something that has weight. It might be something difficult. It might be something you've been wanting to celebrate and never had the right room for. Both are equally welcome.

This is not a therapy session. And it's never an obligation.

      Nutrition

20 meals over the week inclusive. 17 meals made by a professional cook at the house. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, to meet our nutritional needs. 3 meals while we are on the road.

The fridge is always stocked and drinking water is provided.

          Me

          Richard

I'm Richard, 28 years old and from Germany. I'm a calm person and love the Mediterranean countries. In my past I was active in media and also hosted a social media creator house, which gave me a lot of valuable knowledge.

Ever since, I have settled into quieter, more grounded interests. Among other things I've found my love for cycling. Since then I wanted to take part in a cycling retreat, but I couldn't find any dedicated to gay men, so that's why I have created this one. The vision was to have a place not just to be physically active and healthy, but also mentally. I think that's often what is left out. To speak about anything you feel the need to and actually be listened to, without judgment. To support each other, or just to relax in a beautiful environment. You choose yourself what you want to take part in. Every activity is offered, nothing is mandatory.

I chose Fuerteventura for this experience, because it's popular among cyclists, has beautiful roads, as well as powerful volcanic landscapes. The flights to the island are usually really affordable, too.

This retreat comes from my heart and it will be my absolute pleasure to name you welcomed.

          FAQ

Yes, of course. If you have a bike you're comfortable on, bring it. There will be rented bikes for everyone who needs one.
Nothing is mandatory. Every activity is an invitation, not an obligation. If you need a slower day, that's completely fine.
Of course, you are completely free if you just want to ride with the group or also sometime alone in the evening for example. It's yours for the week!
